Emerald Queen Casino
Emerald Queen Casino, run by the Puyallup Tribe, moved into its big Tacoma property with a hotel attached, and it changed how we play the South Sound. It is a shorter, punchier floor than Muckleshoot — easier to cover in one session, with a strong link-game selection.

Circa is the newest big build downtown and it is 21+ everywhere, which changes the whole feel of the floor — no strollers, no crowds cutting through, just players. It is our favorite downtown base when we want a modern room and an old-school walking radius.

The Plaza sits at the head of Fremont Street and is the downtown property we recommend to anyone playing on a real budget. It is old Vegas in the best way: reasonable table minimums, a friendly floor, and rooms that cost a fraction of the Strip.

Wynn is the Strip at its most polished, and it is the property we save for higher bet levels. The high limit slot salon is the draw: quiet, service-heavy and stocked with the denominations where a single bonus round can end a trip in profit.

Red Rock is the locals resort that looks like a Strip property. It sits in Summerlin about 20 minutes west of the Strip, and it is where we go when we want resort-quality rooms without Strip crowds — plus a slot floor built for people who play often, not once a year.
